FAQ

Straight answers

The questions we actually get asked, answered without the marketing layer. If yours is not here, call us or send it through the form.

Do you really operate 24/7?

Yes. We run around the clock, seven days. Night moves, weekend work and pre-dawn terminal slots are normal for us, because terminal windows do not fall inside office hours.

What is the maximum weight you can carry?

Up to 43.5 tonnes gross on a standard or retractable combination. On the side loader the limit is 22.5 tonnes for the container itself, because the trailer carries its own lifting equipment.

How much notice do you need for a booking?

It depends on the terminal and the week. As a working rule we confirm your slot within two days of the booking, and deliver within two days of a clear delivery order. Urgent jobs are worth a phone call — we will tell you straight whether we can do it.

Which terminals are you registered at?

Hutchison, Patrick, DP World and Port Kembla. We are also inducted across ten empty park facilities including DP World container parks, ECS, ACFS Edepot, Tyne ACFS, MCS Cooks River, Qube Moorebank, Medlog, Medlog Minto, Goldlead and Swift.

Do you book your own VBS timeslots?

Yes. We hold active 1-Stop operator status and book our own timeslots. Nothing waits on a third party to make a booking on our behalf.

Do you carry dangerous goods?

Limited Quantity dangerous goods only, and only in non-placarded loads under 2,000 kg. We do not accept placarded DG. If you are unsure which category your cargo falls into, send us the dangerous goods declaration and we will tell you before you book.

What is a side loader and when do I need one?

A side loader is a trailer with its own hydraulic cranes. It lifts the container off its own deck and places it on the ground beside the truck. You need one when your site has no forklift, crane or dock — or when access is too tight for unloading equipment to work.

Can you leave the container with me and come back for it?

Yes — that is drop trailer delivery. We leave the loaded trailer at your site and collect it later, so you unpack on your own schedule with no driver waiting and no waiting-time charges.

Do you deliver outside Sydney?

Yes. We cover Greater Sydney, the satellite cities and regional New South Wales, and we handle import and export through Port Kembla as well as Port Botany. If your suburb is not listed on our coverage page, ask — the answer is usually yes.

Do you handle both import and export containers?

Both. Import containers from the terminal to your door, and export containers from your site into the terminal within the receival window. We handle empty pickup and dehire at the parks either side.

What happens if my container is held up at the terminal?

We monitor the slot and tell you as soon as something moves. Terminal congestion, late vessel arrival and DO delays are outside our control, but you will not find out about them after the fact.

Are you insured?

Yes. Public liability and marine transit cover are in place, and certificates of currency are available on request for your compliance file.

What does a clear DO mean?

A delivery order that has been released by the shipping line with all charges paid and no holds — customs, quarantine or otherwise. Until the DO is clear, the terminal will not release the container, no matter what slot we hold.

Can you store containers?

We are a transport operator, not a depot — we do not offer container storage. Drop trailer delivery covers most of what people are actually asking for when they ask this.

Do you unpack containers?

No. We deliver the container to you and, on a drop trailer, leave it with you to unpack. We do not provide unpack labour.

Do you publish rates?

No. Container transport pricing depends on the terminal, the suburb, the configuration, the weight and the day, and any published number would be wrong for most jobs. Send us the details and you will have a real quote the same day.

How do I get a quote?

Use the quote form or call 0470 277 402. The form asks the questions we would ask you on the phone, so an enquiry arrives ready to price — and it reaches us even when the trucks have us busy.

Who do I speak to once the job is booked?

The same person who quoted it. We are small enough that you are not passed between departments, and the driver is contactable on the day.

Can you handle 45' containers?

Yes, on a retractable trailer. Standard skeletal trailers take 20' and 40' units only.

Do you do export receivals outside business hours?

Yes. Export receival windows often fall at night or over a weekend, and we run to the terminal window rather than to office hours.

Still need an answer?

Anything not covered here is usually a two-minute phone call. We would rather tell you we cannot do something than have you find out on delivery day.
